Repair Patio Chairs

Patio chairs are built with supplies meant to survive through extreme weather conditions, including cruel UV rays, freezing cold, temperature fluctuations also rain. But over time, the materials can become damaged. Replacing the chairs may appear for instance the only option, still certain patio chairs can be salvaged with replacing integral elements. Fragile vinyl straps can be replaced along with new straps, reviving the outdated chairs back to life.

2 Clean the chair's frame along with a rag and mild detergent.

3 Method the length of the new vinyl straps with any cloth tape plan. Use the cloth tape measure to mimic the way the vinyl strap would wrap all over the frame to obtain an exact measurement. Then have the measurement, multiply it by .85, plus add 1 inch. The resulting measurement will be used to cut new straps. The measurement remains decreased because the vinyl straps are designed to expand while heated.

4 Cut new sections of vinyl straps using the measurement out of step 3.

5 Exercise some hole 1/2 inch from the ends about the straps using a 3/16 drill bit. Cut 45-degree corners on the ends with easier insertion into the frame.

6 Boil some pot regarding water, and let the vinyl straps soak in it for 5 mins. Remove through tongs. The straps are now all set to stretching.

7 Attach plastic rivets into holes at the conclusions of the straps, and insert them in the frame. Wrap the straps around the frame. An additional pair of hands might be needed to assist in stretching out the straps into location.
