Architects plus engineers establish plans for proposed building projects.  These plans (also recognized as blueprints) indicate the exact scale and layout of the building.  Designers plus engineers employ architect scales to measure the lines on the drawing and learn a building's size.  An architect scale looks similar to a ruler.

1 Look at the key on the blueprint and find the precise scale of the plans.

3 Lay your designer scale on top regarding the plan.

4 Line awake the "0" point on the scale by way of the beginning regarding the series that you want to measure on the blueprint.
